Exif
(Photo-Brush version 1.2)
What is Exif
Almost all new digital cameras save the JPG files with EXIF annotation. Here, the camera stores information of the current shot, the shutter speed, F number, Exposure compensation, ISO number, date and time of shot, focal length, metering system used, flash used and many other informations. Photo-Brush is the first full featured image editor to display and also store these important data streams. If you don't use an EXIF enabled application (for example Adobe PhotoShop 5 and older, Photopaint, PaintShop Pro) for editing JPG files, then these valuable data streams are lost, since these applications not only CAN'T display the data, but REMOVE the EXIF data from the image as well.
You can click on "Camera info" and a detailed window will appear with the complete EXIF data block.
Note: Some Digital Cameras don't list all of this information, only the camera related information may be supported. Your camera may support only a few or none.
The Date and Time is the Date and time of the shot (according to the camera date and time setting). This settings will not change even if you rename or copy the JPG file. Exif informations are exclusive to the JPG format. You will loose all the information if you save the image in another format.
