Polarization Filter is back
Color Lab - works on pixels using new natural LRGBY color enhancing. A simple, but very powerful way to produce vivid color-corrected images without over-processing that is typical of working with a RGB pixels. Produce punchy - photo magazine grade images without being accused of having a saturation-happy fingers.

Liquid Warp allows you to warp images with various brushes. A clear favorite for changing face expressions, thinning figures or creating caricatures of your favorite family members. Arbitrary rotate and Straighten now uses Bi-cubic rotation for high quality output

Fix: The Extras and plugins stop working if you make any customization to a Menu bar. The customization of menu bar has been now switched off. If you did any customization of menu bar in 3.01 and the extras don't work, you have to open Customize window, select menu bar and click Reset. You can also just load photobrush, load image then close photobrush and load it again. This should reset the menu bar as well.
Disabling menu customization will not affect other customization such as toolbars or keyboard shortcuts.

Color Equalizer
An unique tool where you can change saturation of only particular hues. For example you can desaturate all colors except blues and reds - or you can enhance saturation only for greens etc...
Hue Equalizer
Similar in idea to the Color Equalizer. The 16 sliders each represent part of the hue spectrum. Moving slider up will shift the hue from its original value into new one. With this tool you can change particular hue, yet other colors will stay intact.
Channels, RGB, HSL, YCbCr
You can now work only on a particular channel and then merge it back to the composite picture. You can get very interesting results if you work on HSL or YCbCr channels!

Barrel and Pincushion Distortion Correction
Barrel distortion is one of the significant lens errors in digital cameras, yet not many software gives you a correction for that. PhotoBrush is among the first editors to offer you this functionality and it goes beyond that: By using Bi-Cubic interpolation it is also one of the best quality Barrel and Pincushion correction available.
Enhanced Open (arrow near Open button opens additional menu)
You can quickly open next or previous file in the same directory as current file without need to go to open dialog box. Also you can Re-Open the same file from disk to a new document by one command or load a different image into Original Layer.
Enhanced Save (arrow near Save button opens additional menu)
Quick Incremental Save - by using this feature the image will be quickly saved to disk with a new name created by adding incremental numbers (for example image-1.jpg, image-2.jpg) The system will also make sure this new file will never replace any existing file. Good for quick save of variations.
Other
- PhotoBrush now saves to the same format as the extension is, previously it offered jpg by default.
- Scanner bar remebers if it was last visible or not

Version 1.95

Minolta DiMAGE conversion to sRGB color space
Minolta digital cameras (DiMAGE 7, DiMAGE 5, DiMAGE F100, S304, S404, DiMAGE X etc..) uses a custom color space. In order to view the image properly you previously need to run it through the supplied Minolta Image Viewer utility. Not anymore! PhotoBrush can do now the color matching for you! (PhotoBrush is among first image editors with this feature)

You can actually turn the Color Matching in Photo-Brush automatically to apply when loading image. And it is smart - PhotoBrush knows if the image has already applied color matching and it prevents from applying color matching twice to the same image.
ICC Color Matching Profile conversion
Do you have ICC profile supplied with your scanner, digital camera or other input device? No problem, now you can do the Color Matching by loading the profiles for input and output.
RGB Midtones
Adjust Midtones for each channels with this hyperbolic functions (Unlike Gamma it is rather symmetrical, that means it would affect blacks and whites the same way.

B/W Channel Mixer
To get more creative with creating Black & White photos from Color we included a B/W channel Mixer.

By moving a point in a color space you set how much each RGB componnent affect the result B/W picture. Just move the point to get the feel you need!
RGB Channel Mixer
For interesting color tonal effect a new Channel Mixer was added.

Simillar to the B/W Mixer, but this time it create a color picture by mixing RGB colors from three color windows in a different way. You can adjust one color or go wild and totally reverse the colors and create interesting new feel to the image.
Stamp image with Date/Time of shot Taken or any other text. The Date is taken from EXIF info, if no Exif, current date is used. A great and fast way to add Date or custom text such as copyright. All things are customizable - Font, size, color, offset background transparency etc.

Set Wallpaper, you can set current image as a wallpaper to windows.
More Interpolation in Image Size (total number is 15 right now), The Bi-Linear was renamed to Bi-Linear 2 pass (that is what it really is) and a standard Bi-Linear was added.
Saving Thumbnails in Browser to the same dir as the image can be disabled (Tools - Settings). If disabled (default) the thumbnails will be created in a temporary space. This is to prevent creating *.tmb files in the images directory.
Fixed Bug in Perspective Transformation (crashing in some cases when "Allow Matrix outside edges" was enabled.

Version 1.85 (Important BUG fix)
If you by any chance run 1.8 you need to d/l again the whole installation of 1.85

Important bug fix:
The Modify File date/time while saving in JPG from 1.8 had a serious bug: If selected (not by default) it will set hidden attribute to the saved file. Such file with hidden attribute would be also impossible to update next time you save (PhotoBrush doesn't overwrite hidden files). This was just a simple typo in one numeric variable.
If you have any files with Hidden attribute, just select Properties in the explorer and remove the hidden attribute.

Version 1.8

Oscar's finest watercolor
Another attempt to create a filter close to the watercolor image. (Filters-Artistic-Oscar's Finest Watercolor) Works best on smaller images (less than 800x600) It depends on the original image but sometimes it works really well. The worst the image is the better the effect works.
Modify File date/time while saving in JPG
Normally any software set the file date and time when the file is being modified. Photo-Brush can now change the saved date and time to the date and time when the image was originally taken (Extracted from EXIF info). This may come very handy feature since your images on disk will show exactly a date when it was taken not when it was modified. You will be able to tell by simply looking at the date in windows explorer when the photo was shot.
Actions
Action Macro is a sequence of general command steps such as resizing, full scale color corrections or build-in filters. Instead of applying a sequence of actions one by one you can record them into Action Macro sequence that can be saved and reused later.
3D Mosaic and some other effects were added or newly rewritten.
Smoothing switched off during zoom >100 for better pixel editing

Perspective Correction
Imagine you take a shot of a picture from a weird angle... How to correct it?

Perspective Correction can help you also with architecual shots - to straighten a facade of a building.
Resample Image; beside Image Size you can resample the image for desired size (inch) and desired DPI. In addition it can suggest best interpolation method for the type of resampling.
Added cross-hair cursors for Paint Tools; besides the default brush cursors (brush, pen, stamp) you can now choose crosshair or small cross cursor. (In the menu Tools-Settings)
Exif fix for newest digital cameras.
Browser now shows wmf files
Auto Zoom-to-Fit option in Tools-Setting. After you open bigger image, it will zoom out to fit the window so you will see the whole picture. Set by default to ON.

Version 1.6

More reliable Camera Info: F number and Exposure Time can be now calculated from Aperture and Shutter speed. (some cameras store only the later). Fixed support for Dimage7 images.

Airbrush fingerwheel on Intuos can trigger size, opacity or color intensity, depending on setings
Tilt and Angle support for tablets (Intuos). It can trigger hue change, intensity, color etc..

White Balance Compensation-Histogram shift
Histogram can help you to fix some troublesome white balance images, or at least determine what should be the next step. It displays the histogram and you can shift each curve with the slider. You see the result either on histogram or the image itself.
