Runs Fully on Your PC. No subscriptions, no accounts, no cloud. 100% PRIVATE VOICE TYPING FOR WINDOWS Designed by Cranky Man
$28 +tax Windows 10, 11 (440MB) (Includes the full local speech model)
Yes — completely. VoiceMacros runs the AI speech model locally on your PC. Once installed, it never needs to connect to the internet during normal use.

Does it work without an Internet connection?

What Language it supports?

The model is 600-million-parameter multilingual automatic speech recognition created by NVIDIA. This model is optimized for English and delivers excellent accuracy for a wide range of accents but it will understand many other languages. (With various degrees of success) Supported Languages: Bulgarian (bg), Croatian (hr), Czech (cs), Danish (da), Dutch (nl), English (en), Estonian (et), Finnish (fi), French (fr), German (de), Greek (el), Hungarian (hu), Italian (it), Latvian (lv), Lithuanian (lt), Maltese (mt), Polish (pl), Portuguese (pt), Romanian (ro), Slovak (sk), Slovenian (sl), Spanish (es), Swedish (sv), Russian (ru), Ukrainian (uk)

Which Trigger Key Should I use?

Voice Macros uses a push-to-talk trigger, so you need to assign one of the modifier keys (they can be held down without triggering key repeat). The app can distinguish between left and right modifier keys, which makes it easy to choose a key that will not interfere with normal typing. The most popular choices are Right Ctrl or Right Shift — the keys on the right side of your keyboard. These are rarely used by most people, so they are unlikely to conflict with existing shortcuts. You can also combine modifiers, for example Right Ctrl + Right Shift, to create a trigger that will never be pressed accidentally. Right Alt can also be used, but in many applications the Alt key activates the menu bar. For this reason, it is best to use Right Alt only in combination with another modifier key. You can of course use also combination of Left modifier keys or a combination of left and right modifier keys (like Left Ctrl + Right Ctrl).

How is it different from other Voice Typing (Google, Microsoft…)

Usual voice typing and voice input sends your audio to a remote cloud server for processing where it is stored, processed then sends the recognized text back. That is also one of the reason most people do not like to use it in daily applications. Voice Macros is 100% offline. Not only you can use it without the Internet connection, it is also 100% PRIVATE as your data never leave your computer. It also supports voice macros (keyboard shortcuts and app launches), push-to-talk control, and works in every application — including those where other Voice Typing is unavailable. Once registered Voice Macros is yours forever - no subscriptions or other fees.

Does it listen constantly?

Voice Macros uses the same trigger-keyboard engine as our Multi-Keyboard Macros, allowing it to recognize and handle multiple keyboards independently. This means you can assign a trigger modifier key (Ctrl/Shift) on a secondary keyboard to control voice typing and voice commands, while your primary keyboard remains completely unaffected. Although most users will not need this with full-size keyboards, the feature is ideal for small auxiliary keypads, custom macro panels, or compact secondary keyboards. In practice, all you need is a single key configured to send Ctrl or Shift as your push-to-talk trigger. You can even build your own dedicated trigger device using an Arduino Micro (ATmega32U4) or any microcontroller that supports USB- HID keyboard emulation.

How to use a second keyboard as a trigger (and why?)

Absolutely not. To ensure privacy in the office or any shared environment, Voice Macros uses a push-to-talk design. The speech engine only listens while you hold down your chosen trigger key (such as Right Ctrl). Release the key, and listening stops immediately. We really don’t want devices to listen to us constantly either.

Does it need GPU or a special computer?

No. Running on CPU and still running very fast was our first requirement.
